Welcome! I am an associate professor in the Department of Business Administration and the Accounting Programs Coordinator. Prior to entering academia in 2005, I was employed in Public Accounting for 35 years: 9 years at the staff, senior and manager levels, and 26 years as a partner/owner of local CPA firms. During my years in public practice I provided services that included auditing, compilations, tax preparation, tax resolution and representation, business start-ups, forensic investigations, business valuations and consulting. I began my academic career in 2005 at Texas A&M University, System Center San Antonio, and have been teaching at SPSU since 2008. My research interests include behavioral accounting, accounting ethics, forensic accounting, taxation, and accounting education.
