| Dr. Ferreira received his B.S. in Environmental and Resource Sciences from the University of California at Davis in 2001. He received his M.S. in Geological Sciences from the University of Connecticut in 2008 and his Ph.D. in Plant Science with a specialization in Soil Chemistry from the University of Connecticut in 2012. In between his B.S. and M.S. degrees, Dr. Ferreira worked as a field geologist, an environmental scientist, an environmental lab technician, and an environmental risk manager. He uses his experience in the environmental industry to inform his teaching and is dedicated to offering his students a very practical learning experience. He currently teaches Principles of Chemistry I, Introduction to Environmental Science and will be offering an Environmental Chemistry course in the fall of 2013. He also plans on offering a soils and groundwater course and a course on environmental pollution and remediation technology in the future. |  |
