Edward Jung is currently an assistant professor in the department of computer science and software engineering in the School of Computing and Software Engineering at Southern Polytechnic State University, USA. His primary research interests lie in dependable computing and networking. He has 14 years of industry experience at major R&D labs and prior to moving to academia he was a director and co-founder of Security Research Group at Samsung Research. He has published about 40 research papers and holds about 50 patents in the field of secure and reliable computing. He received both a B.S. and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from University of Minnesota, Minneapolis. He is a member of the IEEE and the ACM.
