Dr. Marianne Holdzkom holds her B.S. in Drama from the University of Evansville, her
M.A. in History from Ball State University and her Ph.D. in History from The Ohio
State University. Her fields of specialty are Colonial/Revolutionary U.S. History
as well as the History of U.S. Religion and Culture. She has published chapters in
two edited volumes concerning adaptation and representations of History in Popular
Culture. She teaches all four History survey courses offered at SPSU as well as Colonization
and Rebellion in the Trans-Atlantic World and Modern Social/Cultural History. She
has traveled extensively in the U.S. and Europe and enjoys sharing what she learns
on these trips with her students.
