Research

Thomas Nisley’s areas of research interest include U.S. foreign policy, Latin America politics, security studies and the politics of developing areas. He has published articles in the Journal of American Studies and International Politics. Dr. Nisley has two current research projects. One project explores the role of the Peace Corps and the popular perception of the United States in Latin America and Africa.  The other project examines the coming power transition between the United States and China and dangers of prolonged power parity.
